Smalspåret i Hultsfred AB (SH), which acts as an operating company for Föreningen Smalspåret Växjö-Västervik, is carrying out a new share issue.
With a view to a jubilee summer in 2012, when the Åseda-Virserum line will be 100 years old and Virserum-Hultsfred 90 years old, the company now wants to broaden its ownership and increase its share capital in order to be able to carry out the upgrades needed to be able to run passenger services all the way from Virserum to Åseda. In autumn 2009, the bridge over the outlet of Lake Hjorten at Hjortöström will be renovated and a major slipway replacement project will begin between Triabo and Hultanäs.
