On 1 January 1967, the Pressbyrå kiosk at Virserum station was closed down. In exchange for taking care of and transporting the kiosk away, one of the kiosk assistants' husbands was allowed to take over the entire kiosk when it was closed down. The kiosk then ended up in Rödmossa outside Virserum and became a carpenter's workshop.
No one thought then that 50 years later it would once again stand and shine at the station in Virserum, but thanks to the Smalspåret Association, the National Heritage Board, the Hultsfred Association and a bunch of enthusiasts, the kiosk has now been renovated and on 6 April it was installed at the station. The transport and installation was followed by both Virserum residents and local radio and newspapers.
- It is with great pleasure that the kiosk is finally in place, it makes the nostalgia environment even more completesays the association's project manager Dennis Blomfeldt when asked how it feels to finally have the nostalgia kiosk in place at the station.
Kiosks inaugural officially Saturday 11 June at 13.00 in connection with the Narrow Gauge Nostalgia Days.
