On Saturday 17 June we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Virserum - Hultsfred narrow gauge railway. The railway was inaugurated in 1922 and was then the last part that connected the railway south from Växjö north via Hultsfred towards the Baltic coast and Västervik. The stretch from Virserum via Flaten and Gårdveda up to Hultsfred, was completed on 5 December 1922.
